(If so, is ownership of a dog allowed?) Are you ready for the substantial costs brought on by owning a dog? Also unforseen costs (such as accidents and veterinary expenses)? Do you have a preference for a male or female dog? Is there a certain coat color you would prefer? Would a breed disqualifying defect bother you? How long would the dog be alone every day? Where would the dog be during this time? Would you plan on taking your dog with you in vacations? Do you intend to enroll in obedience school or dog sports? Which sports?
